Purpose of the app: Listeners is an app that enables its users to communicate with each other anonymously about any topic they want. A conversation space is create when a Talker and a Listener are paired together by the app.
Vision: In the near term, Listeners will mature as a community where people feel safe to share their ideas, feelings, and aspirations with each other without fear of judgement or reprisal. In the long term, the app will provide a value model for the Listener side of the conversation that enables them to charge a price of their choosing for their time. Talkers will also be able to have finer control over the topic they wish to talk about and will be able to communicate with certified experts on those topics.
Costs: In the near term, both Talkers and Listeners will pay one credit per minute to talk via the Listeners app. Credits can be purchased within the app. In the long term, Listeners will be able to charge a credit per minute rate of their choosing and Talkers can freely choose whether or not they are willing to pay that rate.
FAQ: Am I truly anonymous on this service?
Answer: The only personal information that you are required to provide in order to make use of Listeners is your phone number, which is only shared with us, never anyone else. Conversations within Listeners are private and only between the Talker and the Listener. Any personal information you provide within the conversation is done so under the user's own volition.
FAQ: How do I report a bug or provide a suggestion?
Answer: Within the help section of the app, you can press the button to chat with our support team. If someone from the support team is currently unavailable, you will have the option to send our team a note that we will respond to as soon as possible.
